Call to Worship

Gathering Songs

Here in This Place

Lay your burden down, every care you carry

And come to the table of grace, for there is mercy

We come just as we are, and we’re all unworthy

To enter Your presence oh Lord, for You are holy.

Chorus: We lift our heart, we lift our hands,

We fall on our knees and pray

To the King of kings for the love You bring is here in this place

We raise our voices, raise our songs, we offer You our praise

You’re the King of kings and the joy You bring is here,

You are here in this place.

Fill our lives with praise, show us Your forgiveness

And give us the faith to believe that You’ve redeemed us.

You are Lord of all and we give You glory.

All honor and power and praise, for You are worthy. Chorus

Corporate Prayer of Confession

Patient and loving Father, You have been faithful to us in all things, keeping your promises to those who belong to you throughout all generations. But we are not faithful to you. Each new day exposes new corruptions in our hearts that we failed to see before, and each day we add to the long list of our offenses against you. We fail to keep your commands and we violate your love by repeatedly disobeying you, even though we have drunk deeply from your fountain of mercy and grace. Forgive us. We struggle to be faithful friends, siblings, spouses, parents, and children. We have no merit before you. Let Jesus’ merit stand for us. We do not deserve your love, but Jesus has bought your favor and affection for us. We are full of sin, but he is full of grace on our behalf. Thank you that you have chosen to look upon his goodness and pardon all our sin. Because of your love and grace shown to us in Jesus, help us to be steadfast in our love for Jesus and faithful in obedience to you. In his name we pray. Amen

Private Confession

Words of Encouragement

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. -Colossians 3:1-4

Song of Reflection

Rescue

You are the source of life and I can’t be left behind.

No one else will do. And I will take hold of You.

Chorus: Cause I need You Jesus to come to my rescue,

Oh where else can I go?

There’s no other name by which I am saved,

Oh capture me with grace.

I will follow You. I will follow You.

My heart is Yours for life, I need your hand in mine.

No one else will do. I put my trust in You. Chorus

You are the source of life and I can’t be left behind.

No one else will do. And I will take hold of You. Chorus
