Call to Worship

Gathering Songs

10,000 Reasons

Chorus: Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul

Worship His Holy name

Sing like never before, O my soul

I’ll worship Your Holy name

The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning

It’s time to sing Your song again

Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me

Let me be singing with the evening comes Chorus

You’re rich in love, and You’re slow to anger

Your name is great and Your heart is kind

For all Your goodness I will keep on singing

Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find Chorus

And on that day, when my strength is failing

The end draws near and my time has come

Still, my soul will sing Your praise unending

Ten thousand years and then forevermore! Chorus

Corporate Prayer of Confession

Gracious Father, your love, faithfulness, and mercies greet us each morning. You provide all we have, are, and need. Yet, we have not put our hope in you. We have trusted in your creation rather than you. We have looked to our idols to fill us, and we complain bitterly when they fail us. Our expectations are broken and ruled by our faulty senses rather than by you and your desires. Forgive us our many sins. We do not deny or excuse them, but confess that we have fallen short of your commands. Help us to turn away from our sin and cling to the cross. Let us know afresh the joy of our salvation: Christ has been faithful for us, and so you will always be faithful to us, for you cannot and will not abandon your Son, to whom we are inseparably joined. May that truth transform our minds, our hearts, and our lives. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.

Private Confession

Words of Encouragement

Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live. Isaiah 55:1-3

Song of Reflection

Psalm 34 (Taste and See)

I sought the Lord, and He answered me

And delivered me from every fear

Those who look on Him are radiant

They’ll never be ashamed, they’ll never be ashamed

This poor man cried and the Lord heard me

And saved me from my enemies

The Son of God surrounds His saints

He will deliver them, He will deliver them

Chorus: Magnify the Lord with me

Come exalt His name together

Glorify the Lord with me

Come exalt His name forever

O taste and see that the Lord is good

O blessed is he who hides in Him

O fear the Lord, O all you saints

He’ll give you everything, He’ll give you everything Chorus

Bridge: Let us bless the Lord, every day and night

Never-ending praise, may our incense rise

Let us bless the Lord, every day and night

Never-ending praise, may our incense rise Chorus
