Call to Worship

Gathering Songs (Please Stand)

Lord Most High

From the ends of the earth,

From the depths of the sea

From the heights of the heavens,

Your name be praised

From the hearts of the weak,

From the shouts of the strong

From the lips of all people,

This song we raise, Lord

Throughout the endless ages,

You will be crowned with praises,

Lord most High

Exalted in every nation

Sovereign of all Creation,

Lord most High, be magnified (Repeat from beginning)

Corporate Prayer of Confession

God of mercy, you sent Jesus Christ to seek and save the lost. We confess that we have strayed from you and turned aside from your way. We are misled by pride, for we see ourselves pure when we are stained and great when we are small. We have failed in love, neglected justice, and ignored your truth. Have mercy, O God, and forgive our sin because of the atoning work of your Son on our behalf. Return us to paths of righteousness through Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

Private Confession

Words of Encouragement

The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him....We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy.

Daniel 9:9,18

Song of Assurance

Lamb of God

Your only Son, no sin to hide,

But You have sent Him from Your side

To walk upon this guilty sod

And to become the Lamb of God.

Your gift of love they crucified.

They laughed and scorned Him as He died.

The humble King they named a fraud

And sacrificed the Lamb of God.

Chorus: O Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God,

I love the holy Lamb of God.

O wash me in His precious blood,

My Jesus Christ the Lamb of God.

I was so lost, I should have died,

But You have brought me to Your side

To be led by Your staff and rod

And to be called a lamb of God. Chorus

I Can Live in Peace

Song of Reflection

In Christ Alone

In Christ alone, my hope is found

He is my light, my strength, my song

This cornerstone, this solid ground,

Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.

What heights of love, what depths of peace,

When fears are stilled, when strivings cease.

My Comforter, my all in all,

Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, who took on flesh,

Fullness of God in helpless babe!

This gift of love and righteousness,

Scorned by the ones He came to save.

‘Til on the cross, as Jesus died,

The wrath of God was satisfied,

For every sin on Him was laid,

Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground, His body lay,

Light of the world by darkness slain;

Then bursting forth in glorious day

Up from the grave He rose again!

And as He stands in victory,

Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me.

For I am His and He is mine,

Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death,

This is the power of Christ in me.

From life’s first cry to final breath,

Jesus commands my destiny.

No power of hell, no scheme of man

Can ever pluck me from His hand,

‘Til He returns or calls me home,

Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.
