Gathering Songs

Psalm 34 (Taste and See)

I sought the Lord, and He answered me

And delivered me from every fear

Those who look on Him are radiant

They’ll never be ashamed, they’ll never be ashamed

This poor man cried and the Lord heard me

And saved me from my enemies

The Son of God surrounds His saints

He will deliver them, He will deliver them

Chorus: Magnify the Lord with me

Come exalt His name together

Glorify the Lord with me

Come exalt His name forever

O taste and see that the Lord is good

O blessed is he who hides in Him

O fear the Lord, O all you saints

He’ll give you everything, He’ll give you everything Chorus

Bridge: Let us bless the Lord, every day and night

Never-ending praise, may our incense rise

Let us bless the Lord, every day and night

Never-ending praise, may our incense rise Chorus (2x)

Corporate Prayer of Confession

Pardon our sins, merciful Lord. We have been hasty and short in prayer, and this first sin of the day leads to so many others. Keep us from robbing you of the true worship which your glory requires and which our hearts so urgently need. Wipe out our sins, known and unknown, felt and unfelt, remembered and forgotten. Enable us to remember the blood that cleanses from all sin, and the grace which gives us hope and lifts up our hearts to sing of your praise, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Private Confession

Words of Encouragement

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16, 17

Song of Assurance

There is A Redeemer

There is a Redeemer, Jesus God’s own Son,

Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Holy One.

Chorus: Thank You, O my Father for giving us Your Son,

and leaving Your Spirit ‘til Your work on earth is done.

Jesus my Redeemer, Name above all names,

Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, hope for sinners slain. Chorus

Sermon

Eyes That Don’t See

Song of Reflection

Surely Goodness and Mercy

So long I have wandered in darkness;

In the shadows of grief and despair.

But the Lord in His mercy reminds me

Of the hope that He’s bringing to bear.

Chorus: Surely goodness and mercy

Shall follow me all of the days of my life.

Surely goodness and mercy

Shall follow me all of the days, all the days of my life

His mercies are new every morning;

His compassion and love never end.

His faithfulness reaches to the heavens,

And his blood sets me free from my sin. Chorus

The Lord is my constant companion;

By His Spirit He makes Himself known.

He has placed His anointing upon me,

As a seal to declare me His own. Chorus

Benediction

Parting Song of Praise

Surely Goodness & Mercy (Chorus)

Surely goodness and mercy

Shall follow me all of the days of my life.

Surely goodness and mercy

Shall follow me all of the days, all the days of my life
