Call to Worship

Gathering Songs

Here in This Place

Lay your burden down, every care you carry

And come to the table of grace, for there is mercy

We come just as we are, and we’re all unworthy

To enter Your presence oh Lord, for You are holy.

Chorus: We lift our heart, we lift our hands,

We fall on our knees and pray

To the King of kings for the love You bring is here in this place

We raise our voices, raise our songs, we offer You our praise

You’re the King of kings and the joy You bring is here,

You are here in this place.

Fill our lives with praise, show us Your forgiveness

And give us the faith to believe that You’ve redeemed us.

You are Lord of all and we give You glory.

All honor and power and praise, for You are worthy. Chorus

Corporate Prayer of Confession

Responsive Confession of Sin: Psalm 51

Leader: Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love;

People: according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.

Leader: Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

People: For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.

Leader: Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight.

People: So that you are proved right when you speak and justified when you judge.

Leader: Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place.

People: Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;

Leader: wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

People: Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice.

Leader: Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity.

People: Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Leader: Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.

People: Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Leader: Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you.

People: Save me from bloodguilt, O God, the God who saves me, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

Leader: O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.

All: You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

Private Confession

Words of Encouragement

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Ezekiel 36: 25-27

Song of Assurance

At the Cross

Oh Lord, You’ve searched me. You know my way.

Even when I fail You, I know You love me.

Your holy presence, surrounding me.

In every season, I know You love me. I know You love me.

Chorus: At the cross I bow my knee,

Where Your blood was shed for me.

There’s no greater love than this.

You have overcome the grave.

Your glory fills the highest place.

What can separate me now?

You go before me. You shield my way.

Your hand upholds me. I know You love me. I know You love me.

Chorus

Bridge: You tore the veil, You made a way,

When You said that it is done.

You tore the veil, You made a way, when You said that it is done.

And when the earth fades, falls from my eyes,

And You stand before me, I know You love me, I know You love me.

Chorus

Song of Reflection

Turn Your Eyes

O soul, are you weary and troubled?

No light in the darkness you see?

There’s light for a look at the Savior,

And life more abundant and free.

Chorus: Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace

Through death into life everlasting

He passed and we follow Him there

Over us, sin no more hath dominion,

For more than conq’rors we are! Chorus

His word shall not fail you He promised.

Believe Him and all will be well.

Then go to a world that is dying

His perfect salvation to tell. Chorus

Benediction

Parting Song of Praise

Turn Your Eyes (Chorus)

Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace
