Prelude

Call to Worship

Mighty to Save

Everyone needs compassion.

Love that’s never failing. Let mercy fall on me.

Everyone needs forgiveness.

The kindness of a Savior. The hope of nations.

Chorus: Savior. He can move the mountains.

My God is mighty to save.

He is mighty to save.

Forever. Author of salvation.

He rose and conquered the grave.

Jesus conquered the grave.

So take me as You find me.

All my fears and failures. Fill my life again.

I give my life to follow.

Everything I believe in. Now I surrender. Chorus

Bridge: Shine your light and let the whole world see.

We’re singing for the glory of the risen King

Jesus, Shine your light and let the whole world see.

We’re singing for the glory of the risen King Chorus

Corporate Prayer of Confession

Faithful God, You have been far better to us than we deserve. You have

given us blessings and riches we did not earn. And yet we quickly forget

your gracious gifts and we feel angry and bitter when we do not get our

way. Instead of remembering your mercy and running to you as our shield

and refuge, we remain in bondage to our idols and sin. We doubt your

goodness and we resent the plan and obedience you have for our lives.

Father, forgive us because Jesus has been righteous for us and paid our

debt by his death and proved his acceptance, and ours, by his resurrection.

Help us to remember your great love and mercy. Transform us into people

who love you deeply, serve you confidently, and look forward with a great

hope that will not fade. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.

Private Confession

Words of Encouragement

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in

us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins

and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1: 8, 9

Sermon

Good News for the Broken Hearted

Song of Reflection

Cornerstone

My hope is built on nothing less,

Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.

I dare not trust the sweetest frame,

But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name. (Repeat)

Chorus: Christ alone. Cornerstone.

Weak made strong in the Savior’s love.

Through the storm, He is Lord. Lord of all.

When darkness seems to hide His face,

I rest on His unchanging grace.

In every high and stormy gale,

My anchor holds within the veil.

My anchor holds within the veil! Chorus

When He shall come with trumpet sound,

Oh may I then in Him be found.

Dressed in His righteousness alone,

Faultless to stand before the throne. Chorus

Benediction

Parting Song of Praise

Cornerstone (Chorus)

Christ alone. Cornerstone.

Weak made strong in the Savior’s love.

Through the storm, He is Lord. Lord of all.
