Call to Worship

Gathering Songs (Please Stand)

Here in This Place

Lay your burden down, every care you carry

And come to the table of grace, for there is mercy

We come just as we are, and we’re all unworthy

To enter Your presence oh Lord, for You are holy.

Chorus: We lift our heart, we lift our hands,

We fall on our knees and pray

To the King of kings for the love You bring is here in this place

We raise our voices, raise our songs, we offer You our praise

You’re the King of kings and the joy You bring is here,

You are here in this place.

Fill our lives with praise, show us Your forgiveness

And give us the faith to believe that You’ve redeemed us.

You are Lord of all and we give You glory.

All honor and power and praise, for You are worthy. Chorus

Corporate Prayer of Confession

Father in heaven, we come to you today admitting that we would be hopeless had you not sent your Son into the world. We need you to come and rescue us, for we cannot rescue ourselves. We need you to stoop to our level, for we could never attain yours. We need your Son to have died, so that we might live. So we come confessing our need for you. We confess that we have sought to be our own rescuers, our own saviors. We have tried very desperately to make our lives work without your grace. This has left us anxious, hardened and fearful. We now run into your arms, asking you to make us whole. Receive us, we pray, for Jesus’ sake. It is in His name we pray, Amen.

Private Confession

Words of Encouragement

If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Romans 8: 31-32

Song of Reflection

Turn Your Eyes

O soul, are you weary and troubled?

No light in the darkness you see?

There’s light for a look at the Savior,

And life more abundant and free.

Chorus: Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace

Through death into life everlasting

He passed and we follow Him there

Over us, sin no more hath dominion,

For more than conq’rors we are! Chorus

His word shall not fail you He promised.

Believe Him and all will be well.

Then go to a world that is dying

His perfect salvation to tell. Chorus

Benediction

Parting Song of Praise

Turn Your Eyes (Chorus)

Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace
