He is Exalted
He is exalted, the King is exalted on high, I will praise Him. He is exalted, forever exalted, and
I will praise His name! He is the Lord. Forever His truth shall reign.
Heaven and earth rejoice in His holy name.
He is exalted, the King is exalted on high. (Repeat from beginning)
He is exalted, the King is exalted on high.
Corporate Prayer of Confession
Merciful and gracious God, We come before you as people who need to see you with clear eyes. We need to behold your glory in order to feel our smallness; we need to gaze upon your holiness to feel our sinfulness; we need to see your humble self-sacrifice at the cross in order to know how truly loved we are. We love and cling to our brokenness instead of your righteousness and grace. Instead of believing in and resting in you and your gospel, we trust in ourselves and our own efforts. Instead of loving you and one another, we ignore you and we mock, despise, and reject those around us for their weaknesses. Instead of forgiving because we have been forgiven by you, we hold grudges and cling to bitterness and self-preservation. Lord Jesus, thank you for taking our place under the curse that our sin merits. Help us to live lives that abide in Christ and are truly a blessing to those around us. In the name of our savior, we pray.
Amen.
Private Confession
Words of Encouragement
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who
believes in him will never be put to shame.” Romans 10: 9-11

Song of Reflection
Before the Throne of God Above
Before the throne of God above
I have a strong, and perfect plea,
A great High Priest whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart;
I know that while in Heav’n He stands,
No tongue can bid me thence depart,
No tongue can bid me thence depart.
When Satan tempts me to despair,
And tells me of my guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died,
My sinful soul is counted free;
For God the Just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me,
To look on Him and pardon me.
Behold Him There! The risen Lamb,
My perfect, spotless righteousness;
The great unchangeable I AM,
The King of Glory and of grace!
One with Himself I cannot die,
My soul is purchased by His blood;
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ, my Savior and my God,
With Christ, my Savior and my God.
